Masafumi Sakanashi Sensei was born in 1954. In search of a less violent martial art, founded Aikido.
His first instructor was Kuwamori Sensei, Yamaguchi Sensei disciple at Hombu Dojo.
Since 1978 he settled in Argentina and founded after a center of Aikido practice in Argentina who called “Center of diffusion the Aikido”, located in the city of Buenos Aires.
He recently received his 7th dan in the last promotions from Aikikai Hombu Dojo this year.
He died on February 11^th., 2012, at 2 am.
